Confused!!
We all have experienced being lonely, but each time we use the term we fail to term it right on the emotion we undergo. Being 'lonely' means its because of isolation or due to neglection of people it happens, whereas 'alone' is people decide being alone by themselves. Some people who belong to introvert personality stay alone and they enjoy when they are left alone as socializing is not their cup of tea.

Are we forced to prefer loneliness?

Loneliness play its role based on individual's world of thought and the meaning it carries according to the individual's mind. It is a state where it loses connection with the people around, that could happen knowingly or unknowingly. For example, if a person is left out or isolated they might feel lonely and chances of sadness occurs. Based on the personality people anticipate loneliness.

Impact of loneliness

Mostly loneliness bud during the transition of life like death of loved ones, a divorce or moving to a new place. This kind of loneliness can be termed as reactive loneliness. It becomes problematic when it moves to extreme stage known as chronic stage. In this stage people find it so difficult to overcome that phase and its mandatory to seek mental health professionals help. during this stage they lose interest on self, family and isolate themselves from the world they were used to.

The negative commands arouses within and emotions become unstable and adopt sadness as their identity. They develop low- self esteem and lose the interest on things around them. They are vulnerable and end up in suicide too. When you are affected mentally it pays you physically too.

Why do people get Isolated/ why do they isolate themselves?

When there is lack of encouragement by the family, friends or in the workplace environment. People are exposed to lots of failures in life personally as well as in work. The reasons of isolation may vary but it is decided mostly by the society. The people face things that suppress the self-esteem and self-worth. So its essential to adopt life skills in schools which promotes the necessity of socializing and personality development in the workplace.

Some positive aspects of isolation also exists as people start focusing on self and develop their personality and love to stay isolated as they like being alone, some of the single-children in the family adopts these characteristics whereas some likes to mingle with people and socialize easily. 

Isolation can occur at any age irrespective of the birth order, family style, place of birth etc,. It can be anything like stress, unsatisfied life style and maladjustment may lead a person to loneliness and so they may stay disconnected with people. 
Moreover there can be multiple number of reasons among the people because things are not perceived the same way, As the personality of the individual differs and the way they react to isolation or loneliness also differs.

Ways to Overcome

Loneliness can be overcome. It requires conscious support from self to make change within one-selves.
Join a community circle get to know people spend time with them. Develop a quality relationship with the family members and colleagues. Start focusing on the positives in your life, create a space for happiness and live it better. Seek the help from mental health professionals if required.
Validate the sign of loneliness,it silently asks for a change!
